Born and brought up in South Carolina she finished her college education from Clemson University. She then went on to get an advanced diploma in broadcast journalism at the University of Miami. Kelly's dream was to work for TV stations since when she was young. Her TV-related jobs were glamorous and interesting. When she completed her college degree, Kelly began to work at ACC Digital Networks as a trainee and assistant to the production.
