Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5, 1956, on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. The mother of the child was home and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick began dancing and singing in her early years and would often perform puppet shows in front of children in her area. Her fairytale rise to fame started when she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of 6. This led to being contacted by an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her whether she wanted to enter the show industry. Her first major role came during 1964, which was when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical Wind It Up And It breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 1200 auditioning children to play the oldest of three double-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) which starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick disclosed the story Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year run on the program. The actress was sixteen years older and the actor aged 19 at the time. The incident would have happened, she says. But, the time for our relationship was not right.
